It's no question that besides Jameson my dad was the most excited to hear that we were having a baby boy. I remember when my sister got pregnant with the first grandkid on our side of the family and my dad really wanted it to be a boy. I particularly remember we went to Sedona one summer to go cliff jumping at Grasshopper point. While walking across some rocks my sister, who was pregnant at the time, slipped and fell. To which my dad replied... "Is my grandson ok?" Not is Meagan ok, but his grandson (who turned out to be Tiffany, very much a girl).
Anyway, the point of this post is not that, but about a few weeks ago when we were visiting my parents for dinner. My dad was holding Easton on the couch and out of no where decided to intentionally scared him. Easton's reaction of course was shock and then the infamous sad face appeared. He freaked out and started bawling! It took a good five minutes or so to calm him down.
Now a few weeks later, I think Easton still remembers the incident. My parents came over two weeks ago for dinner and if my dad would so much as look at Easton this is what would happen...
Easton is not a baby who cries a lot. He whines, but he rarely cries hard like this. I think he even remembers where the incident happened because I was at my parents the other day with just me and my mom and he started to cry for no reason. He NEVER does this unless we're at my parent's house. So to my dad I would say... I gave you a grandson, but it is NOT my fault if he doesn't like you anymore! ;)
That's what you get!
