Thanksgiving 2014!

This Thanksgiving was one of the best! This is first time I was hands on in preparing dishes for the feast. Bryan was on turkey and pie duty- Katie was on appetizer  and pie duty- I was on potatoes, green beans, and pumpkin roll duty, and TJ & Chelsea were on rolls, cranberry, and sweet potato duty. The gravy was a combined effort!

The kids played while dinner was prepared

I also set up a little kid's table (one of which slept through the whole turkey dinner!)

Lexie was probably the one kids who even tried the food, which was mostly this turkey leg. Guess that's what happens when you have picky picky eaters!

Next were the pies. We had I think one type of pie for each guest (kids not included). That's what happens when everyone has a traditional family pie they want to make when doing their own Thanksgiving dinner. They were all delicious!

The appetizers were fancy, the turkey was beautiful, the drinks were sparkling, but most of all- the company was great!

World of Coca-Cola

We also made a stop to downtown Atlanta to the World of Coca-Cola.

Whenever I go the World of Coca-Cola I'm amazed at how long its been around for, even though I am more of a Dr. Pepper girl myself. It was also fun to watch some old Coke commericals from like the  50's and 70's. They were interesting for sure!

We waited in line to see the Coca-Cola Polar bear... Gavin was not impressed and neither was Easton. One day they'll love characters.

One day Easton will stop being a stinker and finally take cute pictures with Lexie too

Coca-Cola artifacts

Also got to hold an Olympic torch

While everyone else was enjoying the 4D movie (Gavin lasted all of two minutes) we snuck onto Santa's sleigh for a picture

My favorite part- taste testing! This time I knew better and avoided some pretty awful European flavors, but had fun tasting the rest. Easton got some root beer and was pretty happy with that.
