Darryn's Big Day!

After a long day of ironing every single piece fabric you could possibly think of for the big day (basically the only thing a prego lady can do to help since getting on top a ladder probably isn't a good idea), the day was finally here! Being the friend who was the oldest, I've waited a long time for all my other friends to "catch up" and join the married life. To say "I am so excited for her" is a huge understatement! It was a beautiful day, perfectly behind schedule and oddly a rainy one for Phoenix.
Darryn-Noel Backus and Waylon Scott Bleak were married. Anytime anything was behind schedule or not going "as planned," Waylon would simply shrug his shoulders and say :"It's ok, when we're sealed that's whats really important."  Darryn and Waylon decided to do a civil marriage for now and be sealed together with the 3 of them after adoption stuff is figured out. Waylon has to adopt Darryn's daughter since he is not the biogical father, and when that is figured out the three of them will be sealed together for time and all eternity. I'm even MORE excited when that day will come :)

The tent. It looked awesome, this picture doesn't do it justice.
You can see it better in some of the other photos...

I had to include a picture of the bouquet showing off my handy work .. I did all the ribbon and pins. I also did the ribbons around all the boutineers. I was very proud :)

The Crazy Life...

It's been a while since I've written on the bloggy blog. This past couple months have been a blur of photo shoots, editing, Turkey Day, more photo shoots, more editing, wedding shower prep, more editing, etc. Oh wait its December you say? I am so not prepared! I have yet to finish my Christmas shopping (something I usually have down packed by now) and can hardly keep up with all the cute advent calendars in my house since December seems to be racing by just as quickly as November did. Today I didn't have a car so its the first day in a while I haven't had anything going on and it feels kinda nice. Except wasn't really relaxing, I was wrapping presents, doing the dishes, doing the laundry, cleaning the house, and finishing up some homemade gifts. But still it feels nice.
Anyway, here is our Christmas tree. Big, fake, and beautiful :)

Here are some pretty pin wheels I made for my best friend Darryn's bridal shower.
 (Pinterest of course! Thanks Becky!)

She gets married on Friday and I am super excited for her. For a while I was the only one of my friends married and having babies since I was the oldest, but now they're all getting home from missions and catching up. It's fun to see them all so happy.
In addition to all of this crazyness, did I mention I'm 27 weeks pregnant?

I know, I forget sometimes too. Then this little thing inside me kicks and I'm reminded that once the holidays are over we have a little baby to prepare for.  I hardly look the part too. Everyone says I'm still so small, but the doctor says I'm measuring right on. I think just a combination of having a long torso and small babies I carry really well. We'll see what happens within the next few weeks.
I'm excited for Christmas to be here because I know after that I can finally start focusing on getting ready for the baby.
