Oh darlin don't you ever grow up...

I cannot believe how much my little Easton has progressed in this one week. I visited my friend Abby in the hospital with her new baby and I'm trying to remember just 3 months ago Easton being that tiny. And guess what? I CANT! How crazy is that. It was only 3 short months. Then to top it all off my little man has decided to hit 3 milestones all in one week...

1. He slept through the night for the first time!
2. He's rolling over like crazy! Front to back, back to front, 360's.
3. He's been able to hold things in his hands for a while now, but on top of that he's starting to reach for things and hit them with his hands

Is this fair that he's progressing so quickly? He is amazing me with one thing after another. I feel like he should still be my little jelly bean inside of me or at least the little boy who use to just be content with laying there and staring up at me. Now before I know it he'll be crawling... and standing... and walking! Eeek.
I have to admit that his new found abilities do bring a smile to my face. Like when he rolls over onto his tummy and back, he gets this look on his face like "Woah, did I really just do that," that always makes me smile. Or when you put your face really close to his to kiss it and he puts his hand on your cheek (or in my mouth, he likes that for some reason). Melts my heart everytime.
I can hardly believe how much he changes everyday.

There is a new song by Taylor Swift called Never Grow Up.
The first verse is perfect for how I'm feeling...

Your little hand's wrapped around my finger
And it's so quiet in the world tonight
Your little eyelids flutter cause you're dreaming
So I tuck you in, turn on your favorite night light
To you everything's funny, you got nothing to regret
I'd give all I have, honey
If you could stay like that

Oh darling, don't you ever grow up
Don't you ever grow up, just stay this little
Oh darling, don't you ever grow up
Don't you ever grow up, it could stay this simple
I won't let nobody hurt you, won't let no one break your heart
And no one will desert you
Just try to never grow up, never grow up

So please....
Easton, could you please stay this little?

Sweet Baby Blessing

A few weeks ago we blessed Easton in church. I thought I would cry, but somehow managed to hold back my silly mommy tears. That was until Jameson decided to get up and bear his testimony. That little boy loves to talk just as much as his daddy loves to talk with him. Its so much fun watching them together. I love my two boys so much!
And Easton was quite the stud in his blessing outfit... I think I saw some little baby girls drooling that day. See for yourself...

After everything we have been through so far with Easton I must admit that I sometimes forget how blessed we are. I tend to focus a lot on things that go wrong instead of all the amazing blessings Heavenly Father has given us. Easton is the sweetest little boy and Jameson is the greatest husband ever. Jameson has been so supportive and optimistic about everything that has happened when my crazy hormones have gotten the best of me. I don't know how he does it sometimes. What I do know is that I definitely married the perfect man for me that helps me remember to be thankful for what we have.

Congrats to TJ and Chelsea!

Congrats to TJ and Chelsea who were married on Saturday January 1st. That's definitely one way to start the new year! I am very excited for them! I wonder how he felt when both of his sisters got married within a year because I still can't believe he's married. Well, I love him and Chelsea both and I'm excited to have a new sister-in-law.

Here's the lovely couple

My cute pregnant sister
Me and my niece Tiffany
At the temple taking pictures. Love this one!
And I just thought this face was funny...
.
Easton actually started the new year by scaring his mommy and daddy pretty bad. Somewhere between taking pictures and the reception we managed to fit in a trip to the hospital. When we got back from taking pictures we went to Jameson's parents house to feed Easton. Right when we got there Easton actually spit up a pretty good amount of blood. Scary! Becky was going to work that night so we went with her to the hospital to get him checked out. He was still acting normal and happy despite the episode he just had. When we got there we just followed Becky into the back entrance and got in right away (Shaweet! That's the way to do it). Anyways, he got checked really fast and everything was normal. He ate again and when he spit up there was no blood. What they think it was is inflammation from acid in his tummy that I guess sometimes causes bleeding if it happens too often. I do think Easton spit up a lot, but never had anything to compare it to. Now I think he has acid reflux, but the pediatrician doesn't seem to be worried. We'll see what happens, but I'll probably be looking for a 2nd opinion here soon... I'm just grateful he's okay and that he's still the happiest sweetest little man :D

Happy Anniversary!

I can't believe Jameson and I have been married for three years! This year we have learned so much about each other and have been through a lot together. We started out with lots of struggles trying to get out on our own and purchase a home. Then it was filled with many firsts that brought about lots of happiness, adventure, and joy! When I look back I feel like we have grown even closer together, which sometimes as a married couple feels hard to do. You feel like you know some one and they know you, but then you get thrown a trial or struggle and you learn so much more. I feel so blessed to have such an amazing husband and best friend. Life is truly the best!

We purchased a home in April.
This is the day our life truly changed... the day we found out we were pregnant. It happened to be Valentine's Day and we had a whole day planned with the Workmans of fun things to do
Our first trip to a new state... Wyoming!
Our first trip to the farthest east I've ever been... St Louis! (and a new state, Missouri!)
Then in October we had a baby! Obviously another first. This has changed our marriage, but definitely in so many good ways! If anything can test your relationship together it's a baby. Jameson has been awesome at the points where I felt like I was falling apart. I am so grateful for how loving and reassuring he is to me when times were tough. I love him and I love our tiny little family!
This is the first year for me where I haven't been working. I 100% enjoy being a stay at home mom and love that Jameson has a job where he can make enough money to support our family. In March he will promoted to an office manager, which we're very excited about. He will have better hours and overtime will be making as much money alone as we were together.
It has been a great year and I'm sure next year will be as well. Jameson I love you! Thank you for the best 3 years of my life and for hanging by my side through all the tough times.

Christmas with the Hunters

The was the first Christmas where we actually had room for a big tree. We bought a fake one so it would last for several years and then bought a pine scented candle that we burned on Christmas day. I loved having our first Christmas together as a family :D

Easton's First trip to the zoo... and second

Last Monday Jameson and I went with his brother and family to the Wildlife World Zoo and Aquarium. This was Easton's first trip. It was quite an experience to say the least.
Our little Easton is quite the picky eater. He has taken breast milk from a bottle before, but for some reason wont anymore. Even though I pumped so we could go to the zoo he still fussed the whole time we fed it to him. When he finally finished he was still hungry after so I ended up going out the car to finish feeding him anyways.
Then Monday I went to the zoo again with my sister. I tried to feed Easton in public at one of the cafe shops so I didn't have to walk all the way out to the car... and that did NOT go well. He hates being covered up and the only time he lets me do it is when we're in the mother's lounge at church (thank goodness). So I ended up having to go out to the car again, which was not easy with a crying, hungry, screaming baby walking from the farthest point possible out to the car. I do love that little boy, but I sure wish feedings weren't such a hassle.
Anyways, here are some pictures from our trips to the zoo...

Easton when we first got to the zoo
Then passed out fifteen minutes later...
Looks like he's thinking hard about something
Jameson and Jordyn
Brexton

Awake again and talking with daddy
One thing I love about the Wildlife zoo is they give you
chances to interact with the animals and they have plenty of things for kids to do. Here is Brexton with Grandma feeding the giraffes
Feeding the Lori birds
Jordyn and Brexton would do it, but not Bailey

Train ride around the park
Petting zoo... these animals are insane.
If you have food they will be all over you until its gone!

Easton got a stuffed giraffe at the end of the day from grandma because he is tall and skinny... just like a giraffe :)

Zoo Trip #2
( I didn't get as many pictures... sorry)
I thought this was cute though. We stopped by the flamingos to take a picture
and Tiffany mentioned that they were singing...
Next thing we know she is conducting the music
It was very cute!

And she knew it too because she had the biggest grin on her face
Touching the star fish at the aquarium...

I wish I would have gotten a picture of the sting rays... they were pretty cool too and came right up the top to let you touch them... Which by the way were really slimy.

Some cool looking fish...
And you can't even see it in the picture, but this is Tiffany with the penguin that kept following her behind the glass. Regardless she's posing and looks really cute
