Christmas Party Fun!

Last Friday night we went to an ugly sweater party.

Easton was a reindeer...

Yes I won for ugliest sweater... oh the things you can find at Savers :D

Then on Saturday we had an awesome party at our house co-hosted by Joe and Deidre. Thanks guys for the awesome fire pit and hot cocoa maker!!

Yummy s'mores and hot cocoa pretty much made the party.

We also played this really fun game... it doesnt have a name, but I just made one up... Its called the really hard to open present that actually wasn't that hard to open. Haha.

It was really fun watching everyone go crazy trying to open the gift that was taped a million times with packing tape and contained four different layers of boxes. Plus you had to wear gloves while trying to unwrap it. No teeth allowed!! So funny! I knew everyone would get into it! You can kinda tell from the pictures....

I am really excited now that Christmas is upon us. I love all the festivities and feelings of Christmas. One thing that always makes me think of Christ this time of year is the actual word Christmas... my mom once told me (and since then it has always stuck) is when you see the word CHRISTMAS never shorten it to XMAS because then it is like you are Xing Christ out of Christmas. And he is the reason for the season... Just thought that was something interesting to share.

Hailey Carolyn Hunter

One year ago tomorrow this little girl would have been one. She was taken from our family too soon when she passed away at 2 and a half months of age of SIDS. We miss her dearly.

I never actually got to meet her in person, but I know I will see her again someday. I know Heavenly Father has a plan for all of us and that her purpose here on earth was fulfilled. We will never forget her.

Billy and Crystal... we want you to know that we are thinking of Hailey and we miss her. I am sure her and Easton were great friends up in heaven and she was preparing him for his crazy parents.

We look up to you and your strong spirits. We love you both and we love your beautiful daughter! She will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Easton is so much fun now that he interacts with us. He makes the funniest faces and he loves to smile. After he eats is when he's happiest (go figure) and this has become my favorite part of the day. He is a wonderful little boy!
