Cousin time in Idaho!

Here are some cute pictures I snagged of Easton and his cousin Callie while we were visiting for the week in Idaho. These two had so much together and we cant't wait for the Hunter Family vacation in June to see them again!

 Tub Time!

Eatin snacks together

Callie jumped in my basket while I was getting ready to photograph baby Daniel
Easton was sad and wanted to be in the basket too
 But we still had fun

My 18 month old!

Wow time sure does fly. It feels weird saying "my 18 month old." Easton has been up to a lot lately, and by a lot I mean a lot of trouble. This little guy is constantly on the move and I can't say it enough. We try to spend our days filled with some kind of activity to keep both he and I sane. We go to the park often because Easton loves it so much and loves being outside! We also meet friends for play dates and go to the library once a week. Here are some little tid-bits about our little 1 and a half year old...

-The one time Easton will be calm and relaxed is right when he wakes up in the morning. He lays down with his blankets in front of the TV and watches Sesame Street for an hour. Then as soon as its over, literally, he's up and running around seeing what trouble he can find.

-Easton loves daddy! Daddy is his best friend and he gets very excited when daddy comes home. Or he will get very sad if I happen to mention daddy's name and go looking for him only to find that he's not home yet.

-Easton loves to be outside! He could spend all day outside if I let him. We got Wet n' Wild season passes for this reason. Once summer hits it will be too hot to do anything outside but get wet so this was a must.

-Easton is a great sleeper! (Thank you Baby Wise). He sleeps from 8pm to 830 sometimes even 9am. Then he usually takes one 2 hour-2 1/2 hour nap.

-Easton loves playing with his friends. He has lots of friends his age and they are just the cutest babes when playing together! He's starting to show more interest in little friends too like Zoey and Carter. He tries to give them crackers and binkies and he likes to stand 1 foot away from their faces and gaze deeply at them. Haha

-Easton loves to swing! If I try to pry him away from it at the park he throws quite a tantrum.

-Easton is starting to learn a few words. He knows the typical Hi, Dada, Mama (FINALLY), No, Uh-Oh, Uh Huh (which is yes), and some more difficult ones like Again, Car, Turtle, and the number Two. He also knows how to sign Please, More, and All Done.

-Easton can makes lots of different animal noises including a cat, dog, lion, monkey, duck, elephant, tiger, sheep, cow, and bird. Some of them aren't exact, but are pretty darn close. To him their correct and it's how he's always said them. We are working on getting him to say noises for pig, horse, and frog.

-Easton is also starting to learn to point to which body parts are what. He knows his belly button, eyes, ears, and nose. I know he knows a lot more than that, but those are the only ones I can get him to show me.

Both Grandma Hunter and I think Easton is a lot smarter than he shows us or lets on to be. He's very good at listening to directions and telling us what he wants by pointing or shaking his head. I feel like he is a little behind in some areas, but I know we'll get there and he'll catch up soon. Until then we enjoy having Easton in our home and the little personality he's developed. He's so silly and so much fun we can't imagine life without him!!

Spring and Easter!

There has been lots going on around here with Spring time fun and Easter happenings. We've had everything from water play dates to fun at the park to Easter egg dyeing and Easter egg hunts.

James came over and brought his awesome pirate ship he got for his birthday. Lexie and Zoey came too.

We had an Easter egg hunt at Grandma Hunter's house all by himself. He found every last one of them!

Followed by his first ever ice cream cone, which he loved!

We also dyed Eater eggs in our backyard with lots of friends!
Lexie, Zoey, Connor, James, Adilyn, and Ryan

 (Notice the hand dyed red!!)
Then after we colored eggs everyone set out to find all the eggs in our backyard.

It was lots of fun! I also tried to take some pictures of Easton for Easter/18 months, but as usual he's too much of a busy body to sit still and let me take some, but I did manage to get a few good ones.

Hello My Name is TROUBLE!

My first name is trouble, my middle name is trouble and my last name is trouble! This little boy is trouble! He finds trouble and takes is with him everywhere he goes. He know it too! He climbs onto everything and gets into everything! When I tell him "No No!" he looks at me like I'm crazy and does it anyway. He will barely sit still long enough to accomplish anything before moving onto the next. He's the busiest busy body I've ever seen.

We went out to dinner last Saturday with my parents for my moms birthday and Easton was sitting in a high chair. He actually does pretty good in high chairs and will sit and not fuss if he has food in front of him. It was just particularly funny this time because even though Easton was sitting there he could not stop moving. He kept shaking his head back and forth or swinging his hands over and over again. My mom looked and me and asked me if he every really just sits still. I laughed and said no because I realized he really doesn't. He is ALWAYS moving, even if his body is stationary.

I always admire my friends and their babies who will sit still on their laps or snuggle while watching a movie or reading a book. For Easton I just think it's impossible. My next child will either follow suit from watching Easton or hopefully will just be calmer in nature. Let's hope for the 2nd one, otherwise trouble will turn into a family affair around here!

Here are pictures of the troublemaker himself! Sometimes caught in the act!

He climbed in there all on his own

Babysitting Adilyn...

I don't know who had more fun playing with Adilyn while she was here for 3 days... Me or Easton?
 You be the judge ;)

Ch-Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes!

We here at the hunter home we have had a lot going on these last few weeks. To begin, my parents moved the majority of their belongings out (which we were storing for them til they got a new home). We finally got our new couches in once they moved theirs out. Such a relief!

Then this past week we got our backyard done. We used our tax return to pay for it. Before we just had a circle of grass and some dirt. Every now and then that dirt would turn into mud when our neighbors repeatedly flooded our backyard. So we are happy to finally have some rock and trees put in and be able to let Easton out to play. We made sure to put a tree on the side where our neighbors usually flood the yard so they can water our tree for us :) Anyway, I snuck in some pictures of the guys working in the backyard while they weren't looking. Ha Sneaky sneaky!

This is the before and after look

We still want to line in between the big and small rock with bricks and put brick around the trees, but overall so far a huge improvement! And I was glad we had someone do the work for us. Did you see those heavy duty machines? No way we would have been able to finish it all as quickly as they did!
