Wow time sure does fly. It feels weird saying "my 18 month old." Easton has been up to a lot lately, and by a lot I mean a lot of trouble. This little guy is constantly on the move and I can't say it enough. We try to spend our days filled with some kind of activity to keep both he and I sane. We go to the park often because Easton loves it so much and loves being outside! We also meet friends for play dates and go to the library once a week. Here are some little tid-bits about our little 1 and a half year old...
-The one time Easton will be calm and relaxed is right when he wakes up in the morning. He lays down with his blankets in front of the TV and watches Sesame Street for an hour. Then as soon as its over, literally, he's up and running around seeing what trouble he can find.
-Easton loves daddy! Daddy is his best friend and he gets very excited when daddy comes home. Or he will get very sad if I happen to mention daddy's name and go looking for him only to find that he's not home yet.
-Easton loves to be outside! He could spend all day outside if I let him. We got Wet n' Wild season passes for this reason. Once summer hits it will be too hot to do anything outside but get wet so this was a must.
-Easton is a great sleeper! (Thank you Baby Wise). He sleeps from 8pm to 830 sometimes even 9am. Then he usually takes one 2 hour-2 1/2 hour nap.
-Easton loves playing with his friends. He has lots of friends his age and they are just the cutest babes when playing together! He's starting to show more interest in little friends too like Zoey and Carter. He tries to give them crackers and binkies and he likes to stand 1 foot away from their faces and gaze deeply at them. Haha
-Easton loves to swing! If I try to pry him away from it at the park he throws quite a tantrum.
-Easton is starting to learn a few words. He knows the typical Hi, Dada, Mama (FINALLY), No, Uh-Oh, Uh Huh (which is yes), and some more difficult ones like Again, Car, Turtle, and the number Two. He also knows how to sign Please, More, and All Done.
-Easton can makes lots of different animal noises including a cat, dog, lion, monkey, duck, elephant, tiger, sheep, cow, and bird. Some of them aren't exact, but are pretty darn close. To him their correct and it's how he's always said them. We are working on getting him to say noises for pig, horse, and frog.
-Easton is also starting to learn to point to which body parts are what. He knows his belly button, eyes, ears, and nose. I know he knows a lot more than that, but those are the only ones I can get him to show me.
Both Grandma Hunter and I think Easton is a lot smarter than he shows us or lets on to be. He's very good at listening to directions and telling us what he wants by pointing or shaking his head. I feel like he is a little behind in some areas, but I know we'll get there and he'll catch up soon. Until then we enjoy having Easton in our home and the little personality he's developed. He's so silly and so much fun we can't imagine life without him!!

He totally gazes deeply at Zoey!! He loves her!! and wow 8-9am is amazing!!! maybe there is hope for Zoey yet! I know Easton had a rough start like her. The first picture is my favorite! What a little stud!! So cute! I bet he knows more words than you think he does...It always takes me a while to figure out that Lexie has a new word because it doesn't always sound like one!
ReplyDeleteHe is such a handsome little boy!! And he sounds just like Kaleb, ALWAYS moving!! sounds like you need to add another one to the mix, haha!
