We had a super fun week when Grandma and Grandpa Hunter came to visit Georgia for the first time! We spent our first weekday with them at the Gwinnett County Fair! Gavin wasn't interested in too many of the rides, not even the merry-go-round (He's my timid boy), but the one ride he did like was this Jeep dinosaur ride which he went on about 6 times... Grandma was a willing tag along every time.
Easton on the other hand is my roller coaster loving junkie! He wanted to ride everything in sight, even the ones he wasn't quite tall enough for yet...
The next day we spent at the mall, to which I did not get any pictures of. Grandma let the boys each pick out one toy, ride the train and merry-go-round (this time with Gavin interested), and ride on the quarter rides.
Wednesday was our downtown day. We spent the morning at the aquarium and the afternoon at the World of Coca-Cola
Easton was fascinated by this sea horse guy that we passed multiple times...
This was the first time both boys actually enjoyed seeing a big dressed up character. Last year when we came with the Workman's both boys enjoyed the Coca-Cola bear from a distance, but this year they loved him!
Coca-Cola world is always a favorite for my (newly) soda loving boy. It was also one of Grandma and Grandpa's favorites as well
Our next day we drove up to Helen Georgia (Grandmas other favorite) where we took a short hike to see Anna Ruby Falls, walked around the town shops, bought boiled peanuts and peach cider, and watched a man cut down a very large tree.
On our hike, Easton helped Grandma collect acorns to take home for her fall décor and it's where Easton photo bombed another families waterfall picture (who we later found out were members of the church and knew some people from our ward-small world)
He really wanted his face in this German beer drinking cut out man. Haha
On our way back from Helen we stopped Jaemor Farms where we stocked up on fresh farm apples, peach salsa for grandma, fried apple pies, and the BEST apple cider donuts! (Ummm.. seriously where have those been all my life- So good!)
Then on Grandma and Grandpas last day we spent the morning at Chuck-E-Cheese (not pictured) and the evening taking Grandpa out to dinner for his birthday. They gave him a big Texas Roadhouse Yeehaw on the saddle (which I did not get a picture of because Gavin had my phone, Boo!), but I did manage to capture this sweet moment of grandpa sharing his birthday ice cream with Easton, which he loved! That's what grandpas are for right?
It was a happy birthday and a great week! We missed them as soon as they left and can't wait until they come to Georgia again... Which will probably be either when Easton gets baptized or when I have another baby. Hmmm...
