Christmas 2014

It has taken me so long to update this blog for many reasons. One being school and another being that our lap top was broken. So get ready for a whole lot of updates starting all the way back to Christmas!

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. It was fun that both boys were into it for the first time. There is something really magical about seeing their faces light up when they come downstairs on Christmas morning.
However, I feel this year I just could not get myself into the true Christmas Spirit. I was overly stressed with school and other things (mom life) that I don't feel like I enjoyed the true meaning of Christmas as  much as I should have. We did small little things here or there to try and give to others around us. Baked cookies. Gave cookies to friends. Left treats in the mailbox for the mail lady. Gave spare change many times to the bell ringers outside the store (Easton's favorite). Still somehow, when I look back on it, I think my Christmas spirit was stolen and I felt more like a Grinch all season...  Good thing school is over (as of yesterday!!) **insert happy dance**
Anywho, I enjoyed Christmas and I enjoyed spending time together as a family, but next year I am determined to make Christmas feel more like it should!

This year we had Christmas Eve dinner with Uncle TJ and Aunt Chelsea while we exchanged gifts.
Easton even convinced them all to play Mario with him. He was in heaven!

We left milk and cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer

Then we put on our Christmas jammies, read some Christmas stories, and happily got into bed waiting for morning

Easton's favorite thing from Santa was sitting on his stocking. All he kept asking us to tell Santa to get was a "baby Bowser"

Gavin's favorite thing from Santa this year was a box of goldfish. Also in his stocking. He has it with him in almost every picture after this and would not put them down!

This was Easton's big present. It is a lion castle we found at Target. We took out the knights and told Easton it was Bowsers castle. He loved it!
