We had a very fun time celebrating Easter this year... I wasn't sure at first that we would be doing anything special except our own little egg hunt with Easton. Then when I saw that our old ward was having an egg hunt I asked Jameson to ask someone from our new ward if there was any sort of activity going on that we could go to. Unfortunately, we asked too late and had already missed the activity, but the family we asked (whom we had only met shortly when they came to help us move in) graciously invited us over to join their family for an egg hunt. At first being in a new place and not really knowing the family very well I wasn't sure if we should go, but we decided last minute to go because they had children Easton's age and I really wanted to get out of the house.
After the egg hunt the kids had fun jumping on the trampoline and playing on the swing set, while the adults set up a camp fire to cook hot dogs for dinner. I feel like I'm in Flagstaff or somewhere up north of Phoenix anytime I'm outside here. Egg hunting in here is also very different here because it rained so much on Sunday morning that by the time we did our egg hunt our grass was too soggy and wet. So we stuck to just hiding the eggs for Easton on the front porch and parts of our walkway. Overall though, I'd say our first holiday in Atlanta was a success. Hope everyone had a great Easter too!
