Good news... Bad news

Ok so we started this thing with our friends Bryan and Katie where we're suppose to say our bad part of the day and the good part of our day. I changed it a little bit and I am doing some recent good news and bad news.
I have to start with the bad news from this past weekend... we had both of the offers we had on two different houses get declined!! We were pretty bummed. All I kept trying to think was Heavenly Father will put us where we need to be even though I was still discouraged.
Good news from this past weekend... it was my birthday and I am officially no longer a "teen". I turned the big TWO-ZERO and had a great birthday weekend. Saturday morning I went and got a pedicure with Katie and then went shopping with my bday money. Then that night we went to dinner with Bryan and Kaitlyn and then went to As You Wish where I painted my very own popcorn bowl (I love popcorn!!)
Bad news from this week... starting back at square one with the house hunting.
Good news from this week... we went and looked at another house in a neighborhood we really like and found a house that looks just like one of the houses where our offer was declined, except just flipped. We were really happy to have found it and put an offer in right away!! And Im going to cheat a little and add some more good news for this week. Friday we are going to go see the musical WICKED!! I am super excited and cannot wait!

More House Stuff!!

So Jameson and I put in an offer on a house about a month ago and they asked for a counter offer, which means we were in the running. We raised our price 7 thousand dollars thinking it would make it easier on the bank to decide... but we're still waiting!!!! I hate the waiting game. But everytime I see more pictures of homes or find a home I really like I get so anxious!! So tonight I was working a late shift and Jameson calls me. He said the realtor called and said she wants us to go look at a house TONIGHT! and put in an offer if we like it. Well the guy is only asking for 85 thousand and when we saw the house WE FELL IN LOVE!!! It was perfect. And its actually a better location and lower than the other what the house was asking for. BUT because we love it so much we offered more on this house trying to be more aggressive and show that we're serious!! So now we're going to be playing the waiting game again. We just really really REALLY want a house!!! Here is my top ten list below for reasons why I want a house....

10. Not having to worry about being able to even close the door if someone is sitting on the toilet in the bathroom

9. Having more counter space in tke kitchen

8. Getting new couches (which jameson promised me we'll get when we get a house)

7. Not having to take care of something that isn't even yours

6. Being able to have a yard and more space to live!!

5. Hopefully having a closer drive to and from work!

4. Not having to carry groceries upstairs (which I usually do by myself while Jameson works)

3. Not having to worry about making too much noise ;P

2. Being able to have a DOG!!! or any pet for that matter

1. Starting a chapter in our lives that will involve adding a member to our family :)

weekend trip to Utah

Hey guys. So its been awhile since something exciting happened. But this weekend we went to Utah to see our newest member of the family be blessed. Brexton Glen Hunter. Here he is in his blessing outfit and also some of the family.

While we were there we had quite an adventure and interesting time. Saturday morning was probably the most interesting story of the whole vacation. We went to see my sister and we decided to drive up Y mountain. At first everything was great. As we were about 2/3 of the way done we hit an ice patch where an avalanche covered the entire road. We got over easily thinking we wouldn't have to go back over. Well a little ways farther down the road we hit another spot where the snow covered the road. This time though it was covering it almost completely and was also near the edge of the cliff. After a possible attempt and everyone scared to death something told us all that it probably wasn't a very smart idea too keep going. So we backed out and headed back the way we came. Then as we approached the first ice/snow patch again we thought it would be just as easy to get over it again. Boy were we WRONG!! The other side was much more difficult. Blake tried once and failed. Tried twice and failed. We were all getting depressed and Jameson's family was calling us trying to find out where we were (we weren't planning on being stuck on the mountain that long). Then a couple of four wheelers had stopped to help us. They started digging away at the snow to makes grooves for the car so it would stop sliding as we tried to get over. After a little prayer Blake made his third attempt and we finally made it over. We were so grateful everyone was safe and the vehicle was still in one piece. So our little drive up Y mountain turned into a 4 hour encounter with snow that we weren't expecting. Here are the pictures I took to document our dilemma.

The easy side up
The view from standing on the avalanche
Four wheelers making it look easy
Our first attempt over. I thought they were going to roll!!

And this was the NOT so easy side over. But eventually we made it!!
As for the rest of the weekend, we spent time with Jameson's family and witnessed a beautiful baby blessing. Only in Utah do you have 5 BABY BLESSINGS on one Sunday, the entire chapel packed with people, and only 8 minutes left at the end after the sacrament for bearing of testimonies. That was a first...

My latest secret obsession...

So I just want to start off by saying how I've never been to a concert before in my entire life. I know, crazy right. Well I have always really wanted to go in high school, but now that Im older I really want my first concert to be AWESOME!!

Soooo, recently I have went online to KMLE108 and signed up to be Freq Rewards member. Its where you go online and answer questions about things heard on the radio station throughout the day (and I keep my radio on at work all day so I figured hey why not). And yes I listen to country, along with other genres, but country seems to be the favorite. Well then I heard about three months ago that one of my favorite singers is coming to Phoenix to do a concert. None other than Taylor Swift!!! I pretty much think shes awesome and jam to her CD almost everyday in my car. Alone of course cuz Jameson is not as much of Taylor fan as I am.

But anyways, you would not believe how much for the past three months I have thought about going to this concert. I have been going online now for the past three months to try and win Taylor Swift tickets through this Freq Rewards thing. All I do is listen throughout the day for the answers to the questions and then I get points. Once I get the points I go and enter into different raffles with my points. Key word here is raffle, which means no obvious guarantee you'll win. But I must say this has become somewhat of an obsession lately because I really want to win Taylor Swift tickets!! After three months of doing this, the concert now is just around the corner and I have OVER 100 ENTRIES to win Taylor tickets. Now that I have worked so hard to try and win tickets to go to this concert I REALLY want to win. However, I feel like deep down though I am setting myself up for complete and total failure and I probably wont win anything. Really, its not even about the concert anymore as it is more about winning and having all my hard work paying off. So I guess you cant blame me for trying, but until I hear them telling someone else they've won tickets Im keeping my hopes up and still crossing my fingers that I win!!!

CAMPING!!!

So I've been wanting to go camping now for a LOOOONG time. We had a couple times where we had planned on going but things didnt work out. So FINALLY my boss tells us we get the Friday before Easter off and we just knew we had to go camping. The day before we were getting ready to go we found out that the weather was suppose to be rainy, windy, and cold with even a chance of snow. This halted the plans for a little bit but we all eventually decided to still go. So Friday we woke up, got everything packed up and drove to Payson, AZ in search of the great little spot we had last time when we went camping. It took us awhile to find it, but when we got there someone was already in the spot we wanted. We went on the other side of the creek and actually found a better spot and it was perfect for the six of us.
While we were setting up camp the Workmans were setting up their tent when they realized the tent they brought had no poles. So Bryan is like "oh its ok we got another one, its just smaller." (Last time we went camping Bryan and Katie had a tent that could barely fir their air mattress that we made fun of them for). So this time Bryan pulls this "smaller" tent out they got from a catalog thinking its going to work. They lay it out and realize its 6ft by 5ft big. I couldnt help but laugh. It was just so funny because they had a small one last time and had an even smaller one this time. We tried to plan this camping trip by making sure it was better than the last one we went on. We made sure we had the things we knew we didnt have last time. So anyways, the tiny tent ended up being a clothes tent and Bryan and Katie shared a tent with us.

Here is Bryan and Katie's tiny tent

Also, one thing that we were really excited about this time was the fact that we were able to make FIRE!! I love camping when you have a fire, which we didnt have last time!! It just completes the whole camping atmosphere. We made Smores and hot dogs over the fire and it was perfect. Then basically for the rest of the night we played games underneath the canopy. Scum is a new game our little group has played over and over again that has turned into an ongoing competition with eachother. Its all friendly, fun competition. So anyways, right before we went to bed we had the first sign of rain the whole trip so far. We had rain all night and the next morning, but got just enough breaks to do all the things we needed to do when it was pouring down. We even got like five minutes of snow. We made breakfast in the morning and played some games, but mostly spent our time packing up our camp and getting ready to go. So here are some pictures below from our little weekend adventure...

The whole crew

Jamesons Bulgarian hat served as the scum hat
and Bryan was Scum... for once!!

We were the king and queen of Scum that night
Me and Abberkins before it got cold
Me and Katie with layers of clothes after it got cold
The girlies

We wanted to go swimming, but the water was sooo cold
so this is our little attempt to satisfy our water craving
Jams and I
So despite the cold weather we had a lot of fun, and it was definately better than the heat we had last time (minus the swimming) and im glad we ended up going!
