Zoo Trip!

We've been waiting for it to cool down so we could finally take Easton to the zoo. He loves animals almost as much as he loves his cars and trucks. Almost.
Anyway, he got to go with his friend Kennedy and had his cousins Hunter, Callie, and Daniel in town as well. It turned out to be a very fun morning and we are excited to have passes now so we can take him back again and again throughout the year. We'll have to take advantage of it before baby brother comes and the heat returns!

I think the Rhino and Lions were his favorite, he cried when we left the Rhino. We also saw a Tapir, to which Easton said "Bappo" (aka Hippo). He loves Hippos, so we just went ahead and told him it was a Hippo. Haha

We spent quite a bit of time at the "Eeebras" too (One of mommy's favorites)

Lil miss Kennedy and Nancy

They both were being silly with their sunglasses...

Can you tell he was having fun or what?

The "Ir-Raffes" were another one of those things Easton liked from a distance, but didn't like when we got too close to feed them. It must have to do with their size because he warmed up to some smaller animals later on...

Hunter got licked by one... YUCK!

Oh and we can't forget the choo-choo train!
He loved going for a ride on it more than looking at the animals along the way.

Now this I just don't understand.. One of Jameson's co-workers at the office has a pet turtle. Anytime we stop by for a visit I try and get Easton to pet it, but he's scared of it and won't go anywhere near it. That turtle is normal size, but this turtle here is huge and yet somehow Easton was willing to pet it. Weird.

One of our last stops was the petting zoo. Easton was freaked out at first because this ugly goat came over and was jumping up on me.

I personally like to feed the deer, they are a lot less aggressive and this little baby one it just so cute!

He finally warmed up to this little baby goat. He fed it a little bit and petted it even!

So happy we can go whenever we want now!

  1. Hooray for the zoo! Too bad you didn't get a picture of the amazing stroller! It was Kennedy's favorite attraction!
