Sunday we drove up to Idaho to see Jameson's sister and our brother in law bless their new little guy Daniel. Isn't he so sweet?!?
I saw this guy walking a bunny while we were there and thought it was pretty cute, but silly...

the beautiful view and picnic
Tuesday we drove up to Park City. Half the family went in the morning and the other half went to the water park (we decided to not buy passes to the water park because that was something we can do anytime we wanted to at home). So that morning we went to some outlet shops in Park City and had lunch. The plan was to meet up with the rest of the family that afternoon at the Alpine slides. That ended up not happening because there was some SUPER crazy wind that day that nearly blew all the little ones away. So after shopping became impossible we decided to go to the dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point. Easton said "Rawrr" the whole time and kept pointing to all the dinosaur bones. Haha It was really cute and ended up being a good back-up to our original plan. I didn't have my camera so these pictures are from Glen...
Wednesday we went to the This is The Place Heritage Park. Its located near Salt Lake City and its the place where the Brigham Young and the pioneers first came into the valley and decided that this would be the place they would make their home. I absolutely loved all of it! They had cute little houses that were replicas of the original ones that were first built. They had a train ride, pony ride, and petting zoo area and those were all fun for Easton. He did NOT like the pony ride at first but then decided it was a lot of pretty col. And Easton also loved all the little animals. He got up close to lots of baby chicks, lambs, and one cute little piggy.
This little pig was like 6 days old! So cute!!
Oh Dan...
Riding the pony name "Honey"
Another cute little piggy
He was pointing to everything and trying to get as close the animals as he could by bending down. So funny!!
Thursday was Lagoon day. I love theme parks and roller coasters so I was super excited. When we first arrived we tried all the little kiddie rides first, but most of them parents couldn't ride with their kids so there were only a few we could do with Easton. He wasn't really excited about any of it anyway and was kinda acting funny that morning. So Becky and Glen decided to take the two little kids (Levi and Easton) and let us and Billy and Crystal go ride rides. There were no lines so we probably got to ride 7 or 8 rides within an hour. And after the last ride, Samurai, Jameson felt sick and didn't want to go on anymore. Which didn't matter because right after that his mom called us and said they took Easton to the medical center with a fever of like 103. Poor little guy had been sick all along and then had a super fever out of the blue. After they brought his temp down he started acting more like himself again and we walked around Lagoon a bit more and rode the train. Easton LOVED the train so that was a huge plus. Again these pictures are from Glen...
This was Easton before his fever spiked... we could tell he wasn't feeling too hot. Poor guy. He still loved the merry-go-round though.
Friday was our last day in Sundance. We woke up with a pretty happy kid who was actually acting like his normal self again. Somehow, we always end up getting a somewhat devil child on vacation because he always ends up sick. Anyway, us girls spent the morning shipping at these cute little old town shops. There were lots of antique furniture shops, quilting shops (which every time I went into one I thought about how much Nancy would love this place ;)) girly etsy like shops, etc... It was really cool. Then that night Jameson's parents offered to babysit while the adults (us and Mike and Melissa) went to go see Snow White and the Huntsman. This was my second time seeing it already, but well worth it. Awesome movie!!
Finally, Saturday morning arrived and we made the long 12 hour drive back home to Phoenix. As much as I love Utah, I was glad to be home.

Looks like you guys had a great time! Love all the pictures of that handsome little guy of yours, he is such a cutie and he looks like such a little boy in all these pics!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a lot of fun (except the sicky part). We'll have to for sure go to the This is the Place Monument- Kennedy would love the baby animals.
