The Workman's visit!

This past weekend brought back many fun memories. Times of game nights, sleepovers, cold IBC rootbeers, and bad jokes. Times we use to get at least once a week, but is now more like once a year. I sure missed these folks and was so happy they decided to spend their Thanksgiving with us! I may or may not have bribed them with some family pictures, but that is besides the point. We mostly spent our week just catching up, being lazy, preparing for our Thanksgiving feast, and watching our littles be best friends (for the most part). We did manage to get out a few times to do some fun Georgia activities. First up- Ice skating! 

We had many different reactions to this ice skating adventure. Easton lasted about 20 minutes and half the time wanted to be done.  Lexie enjoyed it but when done didn't seem too enthused. Zoey loved every  minute and had to pulled away when we were done. I took Gavin on one trip around in my arms, which he giggled and was frightened about. 

Did I mention these kids had fun? After they left, Easton would say he was Lexie's best friend and Gavin walked around saying, "Huck Huck!" So cute!

Pumpkin Patch, Pumpkin Decorating, and Free Scary Pumpkin Face Pancakes

Have I ever mentioned how much I love fall? Well I don't really know if I ever really did until I moved here because here it actually exists! 

Anyway, here are some fun fall activities we did this year

First, the pumpkin patch where we jumped at bounce houses, petted adorable fluffy bunnies, and picked out 2 small baby pumpkins (the big ones are way too expensive)

Next, we carved and decorated some bigger pumpkins for our front porch. Gavin and I made a doggie pumpkin and Easton helped daddy carve a Bowser pumpkin (or watch mostly, he refused to pull guts out)

Then Halloween morning we headed into IHOP for some free "scary face" pumpkin pancakes for the kiddos (activities where I wish we had our friends close by to join us) but we still had fun and I enjoyed a special breakfast with just my boys!

Halloween 2014

Both my boys loved dressing up this year. I found Easton's Luigi costume at a consignment store for $10. When I looked for Mario in Gavin's size, I could not find anything anywhere. When I went back to the consignment store to look for another costume for Gavin I found this monkey for $10 as well. When I showed it to Easton he said, "Gavin gonna be Donkey Kong?" 

Right then and there I knew it was perfect.

I probably took way too many pictures of my boys in their Halloween costumes, but would you be able to help yourself when they looked this cute? 

Both boys were also pros at trick or treating this year! Easton was very polite and made sure to say "trick or treat" and "thank you" at every house. Gavin, well he doesn't talk but he sure looked cute. He gave high fives and blew kisses instead. Pretty sure he got more candy because of it. Then when someone was about to hand him a piece of candy to put into his bag, he reached into the bowl himself to pick out his own... and they all let him. He was very specific about wanting to do the whole thing himself, which he did, including carrying around his bag of candy even after it got heavy (Which I did not get a picture of-dang it!)

A Week with Grandma and Grandpa (Part 2)

The day after going to Helen we spent the morning at the temple with my parents. We then spent that evening enjoying the laser light show at Stone Mountain Park. I really want to do the light show on the 4th of July one year- it makes you feel super patriotic and proud of the country we live in!

Anyway, here are some cute pictures before the show started...

The next day was Sunday, which we spent relaxing.

Then the last day my parents were here we went to the Georgia Aquarium. We have been to the aquarium before, but never on a day where it was practically empty so we actually got to enjoy it without being shoulder to shoulder with strangers or rushing through it.

I think my dad found his little piece of heaven.

It was really fun getting some time off from work for Jameson and spending time together as a family. We can't wait for our next visitors!
